About Us

Our Vision

A planet where humans and nature coexist in harmony, fostering abundance and resilience

Our Mission

To work with nature towards stabilizing Earth’s climate for human beings and all wildlife

Objectives

We tackle pressing global challenges such as climate change, food security, soil degradation, and water scarcity. Our innovative approach involves the implementation of an easily scalable commercial agroecological model. The motivation for this model is centered around replacing environmentally harmful conventional agricultural practices with sustainable agroforestry.

Our Model

The egro model serves as a transformative alternative to conventional agriculture, capable of turning some of the driest and poorest unused lands into profitable food-producing forests. Through its implementation, we contribute to a greener planet by providing carbon-positive food options to consumers and supporting farmers in establishing abundant productions.

Founded in 2010 by Jacob Vahr in Copenhagen

eGro was established to educate and support communities in emerging markets towards creating resilient ecosystems for agricultural production. Following a decade of farming experience, Jacob was inspired to start eGro during a 2008 trip to Gambia where he connected with young local farmers. eGro is dedicated to building lasting foundations in farming communities that revive soil health and foster symbiotic relationships with nature.
